Norte a Sur | Episode 3 | Presented by Guayaki
Norte a Sur presented by Guayaki Yerba Mate is a series documenting segments of our journey from Maine to Argentina. The first three episodes document our three week #bike and van trip around Vancouver Island earlier this year.
Tofino was a place I had always heard of but never made time to visit. On a whole, Vancouver Island was a true treat, but Tofino was amazing. We scored waves, blue skies and had some locals take us under their wings for a taste of their lifestyle.
What we felt here at the end of summer was a closing of a chapter on our journey. We had hit the most North West corner of North America for our road trip, having done the same on the North East in Nova Scotia a year prior. When we left Tofino, we knew we would be heading one direction: south.
Knowing this, we savored our days within proximity of the salty water and other folks akin to this lifestyle. Reflecting on the challenges we took on, we observed our oldest son, Alfonso begin to take on some of his own at the same time.
